At Carer Support Dorset, we understand the unique challenges faced by unpaid carers. Our commitment is to support you in accessing valuable training and learning opportunities that can aid in your caring journey while also helping you develop your personal and professional skills.

Accessing Tailored Training Opportunities

We focus on helping you connect with relevant, high-quality training opportunities provided by a wealth of organisations across Dorset. Our aim is to empower you with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively support your loved ones and to ensure you feel supported in your role as a carer.

We offer information on a variety of training courses designed to enhance your caregiving experience. These include opportunities to improve your knowledge of first aid, develop skills for emotional resilience, and learn techniques to better balance your health and wellbeing, along with many other possibilities.

Whatever your needs, we strive to find a course that helps you grow and thrive in your caring role.

How We Can Help

Our dedicated team offers personalised guidance to find the right training courses for you.

Our ‘Carer Money Matters’ Service, funded by the Carers Trust, offers direct support. Our Financial Wellbeing Officers are ready to meet with you to explore training opportunities that can help you manage work and caring responsibilities or assist you in developing skills to return to or start work, regardless of your current situation.

If you are a Young Adult Carer (aged 16 to 25), consider talking to one of our Senior Advisers. They can provide one-on-one discussions, either in person or virtually, focused on your current goals and how we can help you achieve them.
